Tuberculosis and Diabetes

Target audience: Clinicians in the United States who may treat or screen patients with tuberculosis, diabetes, or both diseases.

Course objectives (partial list):
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the unique diagnosis and treatment issues for patients with both diabetes mellitus (DM) and tuberculosis disease (TB) or latent TB infection (LTBI)
  • Describe three clinical factors that complicate treatment for patients with diabetes and TB
  • Understand key areas for TB and diabetes program collaboration

Course format: Includes case-based discussion, didactic lecture, and a question and answer session.
